Heading toward eco-navigation

Suncy 19 présentation, the solar boat of seaZen.

SeaZen, in a few words? It is an innovative and simple way to soak up a boat cruise between Nice and Monaco, any time you wish. The concept is recent, it was launched in 2016 it has already conquered 1000 passengers without consuming a kW of the electrical network.

You book on line the boat, and chose between:

  • an accompanied tour from 1 Hr
  • a licence free tour from 3 Hr

Another advantage - and not least - the Suncy 19 is an eco-responsible catamaran. It feeds on electro-solar energy. An ideal solution for the respect of the environment, but also for a quiet moment. Indeed, electro-solar also means silent sailing.

The accompanied boat tour from 1 hour

It is the easiest and most accessible way to discover solar pleasure. From an hour accompanied you sail up to 6 on the boat while enjoying a very pleasant boat trip to discover the coastline from the sea.

Boat trip

A click & go access to a self drive boat

With seaZen, any lover of the great blue who is at least sixteen years old can rent a license free boat. Do you know mobility car services or bicycle services ? seaZen proposes quite the same at sea. In this regard, take a look at the interview made by France 3, shortly after arriving in the port of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, in 2016.

You can book your trip at sea in a few clicks, on www.seazen.fr, thanks to a service that bears his name: the Click & Go.

You can book your tour 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. The boats - model Suncy 19 - are high-end, with teak deck and multiple options (wifi, music, champagne, etc.). They can accommodate up to eight people. The rental is made by the day, half-day and even in the evening. This may be a new opportunity to invite its employees or colleagues to an original "after-work", for example.

The Suncy 19 offers a large platform of 12 m² which acts as a "floating living room", with benches, and a table. It can accommodate up to eight passengers (560 kilos) to sail off Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Cap-Ferrat, Villefranche, Cap d'Ail or Eze.

On line booking with a Click & Go access.

Training session if needed

Let those who never had the pleasure of skipping to be reassured. SeaZen proposes an hour of training sessions, to learn the rules of conduct at sea and to familiarize yourself with the few unstoppable maneuvers (exit and entry into the harbor, quay maneuvers, mooring). Generally, this initiation is enough to feel comfortable on a ship so easy to use.

Additionnaly, it is possible to be coached on various maneuvers and even, to embark with a skipper, so as to be accompanied and to learn more about the practices of the yachting. It is best to contact the company in order to agree on a customized solution.

Safety instructions guides

Moreover, on the website of seaZen, safety instructions are listed, you can review any time before dropping the moorings. Please note that you can contact us by phone, if you have a question while sailing.

In the harbor, the speed to be respected is 3 knots, 5 km / h, and 5 knots - 9 km / h - within 300 meters of the shore. The maximum speed of a Suncy19 is around 10 km / h, which is quite respectable for a relaxing sea trip.

A catamaran boat

The Suncy 19 is a catamaran. That is, it floats on two parallel hulls. The purpose of this configuration is to reduce the resistance to water thanks to the finer shells than that of a monohull. This motor craft gains in stability and deck surface, thus in comfort for the passengers.

The Suncy 19 is a motorized ship without sail and unusual since it has an engine running on electric power, generating no pollution. It was developed by the naval and aeronautical architect Éric Magré, of the Polycreatis company, and requested no less than five years of work.

100 % eco-sustainable

The principle is simple, the small roof sheltering the passenger space, called bimini, is paved with solar panels. The latter absorb the solar energy and transform it into electricity by means of photovoltaic cells.

Batteries store this ecofuel carefully and allow the propeller to run the world's quietest outboard motors (2 to 4 kWh). It is even possible to power the motors directly to the panels, so as not to tap into the batteries. The goal is to return to the port charged batteries! The Suncy 19 is the perfect compromise between the sailboat and the motorboat.

Our clients reviews

Review from Jlehnbe1 on Trip Advisor, following a boat tour near Nice

"The boat tour with Guillaume was great! The tour was arranged on the last day of our weekend getaway and we were able to spend the afternoon relaxing and cruising around the sea with beautiful views. Guillaume is a very knowledgeable tour guide and I highly recommend reserving a tour with him and SeaZen."

Review from Florencia H on Trip Advisor, following a licence free boat rental

"Renting the Sea Zen was one of the best experiences during our visit in the Cote d'Azur. It was a last minute decision and it was worth the rush. We called Guillaume from the marina and he made himself available on the same day.
The solar boat is perfect for a quiet ride and a swimming experience in the Mediterranean. Guillaume happened to be an amazing guide who fed us with interesting stories of the local area and celebrities villas.
Do not hesitate to make the call. We would do it again...next time for a full day trip!"
