SSR 2.0 - XCat
Used boat launched in 2016 available end 2024
The SSR 2.0 is a solar-powered catamaran produced in 8 units between 2015 and 2017 by SunSeaRider. The boat's hydrodynamic characteristics and engine configuration enable total autonomy on solar power.
Since 2016, not a single kilowatt has been consumed. Outings on this boat have been rewarded with a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence - the customers are the ones who say so! Despite intensive use, the batteries don't wear out, as it cruises solely on solar energy. Designed in the pleasure motorboat category for 7-8 people at sea, this boat is probably one of the most Eco-Navigating in the world for its size.
The SSR 2.0 series
This top-of-the-range no-license motorboat is a solar-powered catamaran designed and produced in France. The SSR 2.0 is the second series produced, following the SSR14. Prior to these 2 series, a prototype won a prize at the Lépine competition. A total of eight SSRs were produced until SunSeaRider production ceased in 2017.
Configured especially for seaZen in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, this XCat version, the 7th in the series, stands out for its front deck totally open to the sea. Its synthetic "tech" deck is reminiscent of the spirit of top-of-the-range yachting. A second Riviera version has also been developed, and is currently in use at the SeaZen franchise in Juan-les-Pins.
The SSR2.0 is no longer available for sale. This model is still only available for rental at the Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Juan-les-Pins sites. It continues to operate perfectly. Operated since June 2016 by seaZen, the boat has proven its ability to sail autonomously and provide an experience that is acclaimed by its customers.
