The benefits

The sea air and the sun's rays have a particularly invigorating effect on the body. Negative ions made by sea spray and algae soothe muscular tension while ultraviolet (UV) recharge your batteries with vitamin D. On your seaZen tour, you will not be the only one enjoying these benefits. Designed with a hard top covered with photovoltaic panels, our license-free solar powered electric boats are recharged by solar energy and can accommodate up to 8 people. Respectful of the environment and without any unpleasant smell of fuel, they offer you a new way of sailing, totally ecological.

What are the risks at sea?

The more the boat is exposed to the sun, the better it is. But for you, that's another story. Too much exposure hurts your body, it can even be dangerous in the open sea. The harmful effects of UV are much more violent on board a boat than on land. Indeed, the surface of the water acts as a gigantic mirror that reverberates the sun's rays. It is therefore important to protect yourself properly with sunscreen.

How to choose a "responsible" sunscreen?

But beware, a study from the journal Environmental Health Perspective, relayed by the magazine Huffingon Pos warns us about the lack of knowledge of the impact of sunscreens on the environment. Even if the quantities at stake seem negligible today, how do you know when these increasing amounts of sunscreen are going to be diluted and impact the corals, posidonia and dolphins of Medirannean? It is known that the so-called "synthetic" cream components include substances derived from petrochemistry. These include substances such as paraben, cinnamate, benzophenone and camphor derivatives.

The subject seems serious enough for some manufacturers of sunscreens, such as EQ-loveAlgotherm, and Alphanova to offer "mineral filter creams". According to their sites, the components used in the manufacture of creams are simply biodegradable. A simple principle therefore recommends to think about it before the purchase.

In addition, these creams are made in France. In a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach our responsibility it to promote local productions as well.
