The most beautiful beaches to admire from the sea - Baie des Fourmis

The SeaZen Boat Club has chosen to set up its boat rental service in the harbor of Beaulieu-sur-Mer. This location, close to Nice and Monaco, was not randomly chosen. Indeed, the surroundings of Beaulieu-sur-Mer are gifted with heavenly bays. The seaZen team reveals the location of the most beautiful beaches to anchor on a autonomous solar-powered electric boats.

On the way!

If you decide to anchor somewhere at sea to sunbathe and swim, it is better that the waves do not tickle the hull of your boat. Everyone does not have the sailor's foot and if the boat is pitching too much, the guts of your sailors may not appreciate the trip. To avoid the disaster and do not ruin your trip at sea, we advise you to prepare your itinerary.

The paradisiac beaches of the French Riviera

Some beaches are protected from the hustle and bustle of the sea. The landform of the coastline sometimes offer natural barriers that stop the surf and save the beaches from endless rolls. These bays offer a privileged setting for boating.

The Ant's bay

The Ant Bay is the closest stop to the seaZen harbor. Indeed, the "Plage des Fourmis" in French, is located in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, just next to the port where you will have to board. This is also the place where you can admire the villa Kerylos that we presented in a previous article.

Do you know where the name of the ant beach comes from?

First of all, remember that in the 19th century, the Côte d'Azur was wild. People did not use to go to the beach. Remember also that we are in a Natura 2000 reserve known for its posidonia meadows. Its meadows are subject to the rhythm of the seasons and winter storms carry mounds of dead grass on the shores of the beach. These mounds can be more than one meter high, and in the past, the range of the mounds took the form of anthills. In passing off, the fishermen - since there were no yachtmen by that time - called the place the "ant's bay".

The Maurice Rouvier promenade

If you continue your journey to the west, take the time to observe the villas located along the Maurice Rouvier promenade. On the place David Niven, you will see one of the most beautiful villas of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat overlooking the sea, as well as the villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. You will discover another wonderful anchorage there.

Then you will cross the beach of Saint Jean Cap Ferrant until Paloma beach.

But this is another topic that we will not fail to present to you in a next article.
